Alert
Alert colleagues who are looking at the colleague location map at security post, when I am patrolling
Adjust strength of phone shaking that triggers an alert (shake the phone 4 times or more consecutively; screen may have to be turned on, but can be either locked or unlocked; successful trigger of alert is indicated by flashing of camera 2 times or more)
Colleague locations
Choose colleague locations in the menu
Colleague location map (markers are updated about once every 2 seconds; to know the precise locations of colleagues who are on patrol)
Marker on colleague location map turns red and the phone plays the notification sound, if the colleague on patrol shakes phone to trigger an alert.
Both phones should have reasonably-accurate clocks, preferably using network-provided date and time.
Resident emergencies
A resident pressed the security hotline call button in Patrolity app, so the security hotline phone running staff app rings, and shows a notification
Tapping on the notification leads to map showing registered location of resident who pressed the security hotline call button in Patrolity app
Login
To indicate start of shift, optional
Sync
Make the app download checkpoint information now, otherwise there is an automated daily download
Patrol
Press start button when a patrol starts
Each orange ball represents a checkpoint
A purple/magenta ball means the resident asked for more attention to the property (typically because the resident is outstation or overseas)
My current location
Checkpoints already patrolled (blue dots show they are nearby)
When a checkpoint is patrolled, its color fades, and the phone plays the notification sound
